Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This was a childhood favorite. Grandma Mary made this every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I loved it so much as an adult I would make it in muffin size and enjoy throughout the year.

One Christmas I made this (as muffins) along with several other muffin recipes and delivered to our friends on Christmas Eve, for them to enjoy for breakfast.

I like it best with extra chocolate chips and I opt to use dark chocolate chips in place of the semi sweet.

This recipe is a favorite of my kids too.

Enjoy this with Grandma Mary's pickled carrots.
