Ingredients: ½ c Peanut Butter
½ c Butter, softened
½ c Sugar
½ c Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla
1¾ c Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp finely chopped Chocolate Chips
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp cocoa
1 tsp Vegetable Oil
Mini Chocolate Chips
⅓c. Powdered Sugar
Water
Brown M&Ms(approx. 42)
Red M&Ms (approx 21)

Directions:Cream: Peanut Butter, Butter, Sugar and Brown Sugar
Beat in: Egg and Vanilla
Add: Flour, Soda and Salt
Divide dough in half.
To one half add: Chopped Chocolate Chips
To other half add: Cocoa and Oil
Roll out and cut (approx 1/6 inches thick) with 2½ inch heart cookie cutter.
Place: 1 Vanilla heart , point up for face.
Cut: Chocolate heart in half for ears and place one(point side up) on either side of vanilla heart for ears. Press together slightly.
Place: 3 mini chocolate chips on each side of face(on cheeks) for whiskers.
Bake: 375º for 10-11 minutes or until firm.
Press: holes for eyes and nose with back of ⅛ tsp while hot. Cool.
Mix: Powdered Sugar and enough water to make a glue.
Attach: Brown M&Ms for eyes and red M&Ms for nose with frosting glue.
Makes approx 21 cookies |
