1 c. butter, softened, 12 oz. carton cottage cheese (1 1/2 c.) dash of salt, 2 c. flour

Frosting: 2 T. butter, melted, 2 tsp. milk, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. powder sugar
(this makes a lot of frosting)

Cream together butter and cheese. Beat in salt and flour until smooth. Cover and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Divide into 3 parts, form into balls. On a lightly floured surface, roll out flat into 12 inch circles. Cut each into 12 pie shaped wedges (can do 6 wedges for larger butter horns). Roll each wedge from wide to small end. Place on greased cookie sheet with tips turned under. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until light golden brown. While butterhorns bake, mix frosting. Spread frosting over slightly warm rolls.
