1 c. brown sugar
⅔ c. butter, cut up
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1½ c. almonds, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease 13"x9"x2" baking pan, set aside.

Mix flour, baking powder, and baking soda in a bowl, set aside.

In medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat until smooth, stirring constantly. Cool slightly.

Stir in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Spread batter in prepared baking pan. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool slightly in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars when warm.
