½ c. Vegetable Shortening(Crisco)
½ c. Butter,softened
1½ c. Sugar
2 Eggs
2¾ c. Flour
2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 tsp Baking Soda
¼ tsp Salt

CINNAMON SUGAR
2 tbsp Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon

Directions:

Cream: Crisco, Butter and Sugar
Beat in: Eggs
Add: Flour, Cream of Tartar, Soda and Salt.
Drop by Large cookie scoop.
Roll in balls
Roll in Cinnamon Sugar
Bake 375º for 11-12 minutes.

Makes 40 cookies

These are a softish cookie, but they harden if not eaten within a couple days. They have a tangy flavor from the cream of tartar.
