1 pkg yellow cake mix
1 small pkg lemon jello
3 or 4 eggs
3/4 cup cooking oil
3/4 cup water

for frosting:
2 cups powdered sugar
juice of 3 or 4 lemons
grated rind of 2 lemons

Directions:
Directions:
For cake: Mix all ingredients and beat 4 minutes. Pour into 9x13x2½ loaf pan and bak 40 to 45 minutes in a 350º oven. Remove from oven and immediately poke holes in cake with fork. Mix frosting ingredients and pour all over cake with poked holes.
Serve with whipped cream.

Fresh lemons are the best for this cake - Grandma Woods had a big lemon tree behind her house that made this cake extra special.
I have no idea what the "Surprise" part was but it was on her recipe card.
Grandma June made this same recipe all the time too.
