6 large potatoes
salt to taste
1 1/2 cups sour cream
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup fresh chopped chives
2 cloves garlic, minced

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and quarter the potatoes. Place them in a large stockpot, cover them with cold water; add some salt. Bring them to a boil, then simmer them until they're tender when pierced with a fork, ~30 minutes.
Drain them well in a colander; place them into a bowl for mashing.
Mash the potatoes with a potato masher; add the remaining ingredients; mix well.
Serve.
