Ingredients: 1 16 oz frozen pound cake, thawed 3/4 cup maple flavored or almond syrup 2 boxes confectioners sugar, divided 14 tablespoons milk, divided 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided Yellow and red gel based food colors Raspberries and Blackberries for garnish Ice cream

Directions:Cut 24 bite-size pieces of cake. Line a baking sheet with waxed paper on wire rack. Pour syrup into a bowl. Dip each side of the cake pieces into syrup and place on wire rack. Mix 1 box of confectioners sugar and 7 tbsp milk in a bowl. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Tint the glasze with yellow food color. Pour into a glass measuring cup. Pour the glaze over 12 cakes. Leave enough to coat twice. Make another batch with the red food coloring (to make pink) and use for remaining cakes. Let dry and serve for children's tea party! Serve with ice cream. |
