Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe was given to me by my mother in law when I first started dating my husband. This is their family's favorite cookies. When my husband was deployed to Iraq they would send these over to him to help it feel a little closer to home. These hold a spot in all of their hearts and now mine as well. I don't make these nearly as often as I should but always around the holidays!

I use either chopped walnuts or pecans just depends on what I have on hand. Both are fantastic in these!
