1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
2 2/3 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup sour cream
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º.

Mix shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl add the dry ingredients, mix completely.

Add dry ingredients to sugar mixture alternating with sour cream. Blend into a ball.

Place on floured area, roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

Place on greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake 8-10 minutes, or until lightly brown.
