4 c. peaches, fresh, peeled, halved or sliced
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
butter

Topping:

1 1\2 c. flour
1\2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1\4 c. sugar
1\4 c. melted butter
1 egg
milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place peaches in a 9 X 9 inch baking dish. Combine 2 tbsp. flour and 1 cup sugar. Sprinkle on top of peaches. Then sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter.

Bake in pre-heated oven at 425º until peach juice is bubbly, approximately 20 minutes.

Topping:
Mix together flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Crack egg into a measuring cup and add enough milk to make 1\2 cup. Put in a mixing bowl and add melted butter. Combine with a mixer. Add dry ingredients and stir by hand until just moist. Dough should be soft. Drop by 1\2 tbsp. onto partially baked fruit.

Bake 15 - 20 minutes at 425º.
