3/4 cup Crisco butter flavor all-vegetable shortening
1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
1 egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups Toll House semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Heat oven to 375º.

Beat shortening, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla with mixer on medium speed until well blended. Beat in egg.
Stir flour, salt, and baking soda together in medium bowl. Gradually beat into creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips by hand.

Place 1 inch cookie balls onto a baking sheet. Bake about 11 minutes until edges are just starting to brown. Don't overbake! Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet before removing to a wire rack to finish cooling.
