Notes: We have always associated this dish with Easter and the times we were at Grammy and Grampy's house. Over the years though I have made them when one of the two of you requested them. They go terrifically with ham but know that Kylee doesn't prefer to eat pork.
This past Easter when dad and I were visiting Kylee in Tuscon we made them for Easter dinner but paired them with a beautiful steak. We all made a toast to Gramps before digging into our first bite!!
They don't necessarily freeze well and because they are heavy in dairy they need to be eaten right away.
I look forward to you both making them and adding them to your family traditions!!
