¾ c shortening

1 c sugar

¼ c molasses

1 egg (beaten)

2 c flour (sifted)

¼ tsp salt

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cloves

½ tsp ground ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar add molasses and egg. Stir in sifted flour, salt, soda, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Roll into walnut size balls and roll in sugar. Place on greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 F for 8-10 min



Cookies will flatten out when baking.
