1 Cup of Shortening

1 Cup of Sugar

2 Cups of Flour

2 Eggs

2 Cups of Quick Oats

1 Cup Chopped Nuts

1 Cup Cooked Raisins, Drained

6 Tablespoons of Raisin Juice

½ Teaspoon Salt

½ Teaspoon Baking Soda

½ Teaspoon Nutmeg

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, beat

well. Sift flour, baking soda, salt and spices

together. Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed

mixture alternately with raisin juice, ending with

dry ingredients. Blend in oats, raisins and nuts.

Drop onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at

375º for 8 minutes or until slightly brown.
