1 C. Firmly packed Brown Sugar
3/4 C. Shortening
1/2 C. Sugar
1 Egg
1/4 C. Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
3 C. Quaker Oats
1 C. Flour
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350. In large bowl, beat brown sugar, shortening and sugar until creamy. Add egg, water and vanilla; beat well. Add oats, flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 11-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Store tightly covered.
