"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

3 good size broccoli crowns Extra Virgin Olive Oil Salt Pepper Garlic powder Crushed red pepper seeds
Cut the little trees off of the stems. No stems!! Bring about 2 inches of water to a boil in a steamer. Place the steamer in the pot. Put the broccoli in the steamer. Steam until tender but still bright green, like in chinese food. Remove steamer and pour the broccoli into a bowl. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. This should taste pretty garlicky. Mix in enough olive oil to coat, about 1/4 cup. Mix in crushed red pepper seeds if you want your broccoli spicy hot.
