Ingredients:
3 Cups Flour
¼ Tsp Salt
⅓ Cup Ice Water
1 Cup Shortening
Sugar (Optional)

Directions:
Start by putting flour and salt into a large bowl. Add ice water and stir with fork or cutting tool. Then add shortening and cut into flour mixture. Dough should form "pea-size" balls and be crumbly. (Grandma says, "Don't Panic")! If dough is too dry, add water - if too moist, add flour, but note that the more water you use the tougher the dough gets.

Make sure your hands are COLD. Form dough into 2 balls. Place ball between 2 sheets of wax paper and flatten enough to start rolling. (Grandma says to make a cross on top with your hands and pray.). Roll out from the center and make a circle. Crust should be about ¼ inch thick. Remove wax paper and place piecrust into pie pan.

If you are baking the crusts before filling them, then prick with a fork before baking. You can sprinkle with sugar if desired before baking.

Bake at 450º for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
