2TBS Olive Oil
1lb Italian style pork sausages
4 cloves garlic
1/4 c tomato paste
3-28-35 oz cans Italian peeled tomatoes
S&P
6 fresh basil leaves
Water

Meatballs
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1/2 c bread crumbs
2 large eggs
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 c grated 3-4 cheese blend
2 TBS Chopped parsley
1tsp salt
Pepper
2 TBS OLIVE OIL

Lasagna
Sunday gravy
Lasagna noodles
Salt
2 lb whole milk ricotta
1 lb fresh mozzarella
1 1/4 c grated 3-4 cheese blend

Heat oil in a large heavy pot over medium heat.

Slice pork sausages and add to pot. Cook stirring occasionally for about 15 m, until nicely browned. Transfer to a plate.

Add garlic and cook 2m til golden.
Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 m.
Add tomatoes and chop or purée til desired chunkyness.
Add salt n pepper sausages and basil bring to a simmer.
Partially cover pot and cook low 2 hours.
If sauce is too thick add water.

Meatballs
Combine all ingredients except oil in a large bowl.
Shape into grape size balls.
Heat oil in skillet add meatballs and brown well on all sides (they will finish cooking in the sauce. Drain on a paper towel..

After 2 hrs add meatballs to sauce. Cook at least 30 m

Assembling Lasagna
Preheat oven to 375

Cook noodles and lay out flat on rack or a plate.

Spread a thin layer of sauce in lasagna pan. Add a layer of pasta, overlapping slightly.
Spread about 1/4 of ricotta on top.

Add 1/4 of gravy, 1/4 mozzarella, 1 c more sauce sprinkle with 1/4 c grated cheese.

Repeat layers 3 more times .
Make final layer pasta , sauce, and grated cheese.

Bake 1hour and 10-30 minutes until top is brown and sauce is bubbling.

Let set 15 m.
