3 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin

3 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. ground gloves
2/3 cup water

1 cup very finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour two 9''x5''x3'' loaf pans. In a large bowl, mix and beat sugar, vegetable oil, eggs and pumpkin. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and ground gloves.

Add dry ingredients to pumkin mixture alternately with 2/3 cup water. Fold in 1 cup of very finely chopped walnuts or peans (optional).

Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool for 1/2 hour on racks before removing from pans.
