1¾ c vegetable or chicken broth (2c for stovetop)
1 clove garlic, peeled and smashed
1 c black beluga lentils
1-2 sprigs fresh rosemary
6 sprigs fresh thyme
1 bay leaf
½ tsp kosher salt (¼ tsp for stovetop)
8 whole black peppercorns

Stovetop-add all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until just tender

Multicooker-add all ingredients and stir to combine. set to pressure cook at high pressure for a cook time of 6 minutes. Allow a natural pressure release
