1 cup milk (Plain, Butter, or dry)
⅓ cup oil
4 Cups Self rising flour

Directions:

Pre heat oven to 375º
Combine milk and oil in a bowl, heat to lukewarm.
Add flour and mix to consistency...this part takes practice. It should not be handled too much but not be super sticky.
Grease pan and pat out biscuits and put in the pan. Pat the tops of the biscuits with a little grease so they will be fluffy and light.
Cook for 15 mins or until all the bottoms are golden brown.

Uncle Pete put this recipe in our Drummond cookbook several years ago. Granny would make these by the sheet pan...I remember them being about 3 or 4 inches around and an inch or two tall. Most of the time they were kind of square shaped:) A perfect biscuit is delicious not necessarily beautiful. So keep trying and I promise you can do it too.
