1/2 whole chicken (make sure you have some legs and thighs dark meat gives good
flavor)
1LB carrots (do not use the small package of cut up carrots) peel and cut into pieces.
3 stalks celery cut into small pieces.
1/2 onion sliced thin
parsley (fresh or dried in a jar) about a palm size amount
a few tablespoons of better than bouillon or chicken soup base, it has to be to your taste, start out small you can always add more. This is salty so be careful.
pepper to taste.

in a large pan put chicken in about 8 to 9 cups of water add chicken bring to boil.
skim the film on top of water off, add bouillon add cut up vegetables let cook until carrots are somewhat soft. Remove chicken and de-bone the meat. put back in pan.
Done!
You can make noodles and add to them etc...

soup dumplings: 1 egg, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour.
put all 3 ingredients together mix with fork, (this is ok if a little lumpy) drop into hot soup they will float till top.
