1/2 c. whipping cream
1/2 c. sugar
scant cup of sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
pinch of salt
flour- enough to roll out

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together and roll out in flour. Cut with doughnut cutter and fry in hot lard.

Grandma used lard to fry all of her sweet rolls. Oil could be used in place but would strongly suggest lard.
