¾ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup molasses
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cloves
¼ tsp allspice
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and sugars with electric mixer. Add eggs and molasses. Mix; add flour and other dry ingredients. Mix; chill for 1 hour or more. Roll in balls and roll in sugar.
Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.
