1 pkg German chocolate cake mix ¾ c. butter or margarine 2/3 c. evaporated milk (divided) 6 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. nuts (or more) 50 caramels
Mix cake mix, butter and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Put half into 9x13 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350º. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Melt caramels and 1/3 c. evaporated milk. Pour over chips and nuts. Add rest of cake mix mixture. Bake 15-20 minutes at 350º.
