Granny used a sweet yeast bread recipe and added loads of plump raisins. After shaping into rolls and baking them, she would top each roll with a cross made out of a white butter frosting.

An Easter tradition for Granny was making her Hot Cross Buns for Easter Breakfast. Marilyn can still see her walking across their adjoining yards with a platter of her rolls.
