RICOTTA CHEESE CHRISTMAS COOKIES


1 Cup Ricotta Cheese (whole milk)
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 Cups Sugar
2 sticks butter, room temperature
2 Eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 Cups Flour
1 Cup powdered sugar, sifted, for glaze
2 Tablespoons milk, for glaze
Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, butter, vanilla, ricotta, and eggs. Combine dry ingredients and then add to butter mixture.
2. For glaze combine sugar and milk
3. Drop dough on to cookie sheet from teaspoon Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
4. Top the cookies with glaze while warm but not hot. Add sprinkles before glaze sets
5. Note: Do not substitute margarine for the butter
