1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1 cup raisins
1 cup water
1/2 cup salad oil
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
1 tbsp. confectioners' sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Combine raisins and water. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in salad oil. Cool to lukewarm. Sift dry ingredients together and stir into raisin mixture. Pour into greased 13"X9"X2" pan. Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool, cut into bars, and dust with confectioners' sugar.
