1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup jam


Caramel Icing:

2 cups brown sugar
2 Tbsp. oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 stick margarine
1 cup evaporated milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs. Add spices. Mix soda with buttermilk, add to mixture and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees and bake until done. Cool and ice with caramel icing.

Caramel Icing: Mix ingredients and bring to a boil. Stir in powdered sugar until smooth, add vanilla.
