Pre heat oven to 350º

1 9 inch deep dish pie shell unbaked

1 cup Light Karo syrup
3 Eggs
1 cup Sugar
4 TBS Butter
1 1/2 cups Pecans (break into pieces)
1 tsp Vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a small saucepan melt butter over low heat, add pecans. Let them soak up the butter and become toasted. You can smell the pecan aroma of the pecans. Let cool.

Mix Karo, sugar, eggs and vanilla together till creamy. Add cooled butter and pecans. Mix well.

Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350º for 45 to 60 minutes, till middle comes out clean or inside reaches 200º

Granny was famous for her Pecan Pies. She gave away the recipe to everyone but she never told them her secret. Toasting the pecans in the butter was her secret to the perfect pecan pie.
