2 cups sour milk
1 cup of molasses
2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
3 cups of graham flour or whole wheat flour
½ cup of raisins

Directions:

Steam for two hours in 2 metal coffee cans that have been covered tightly with foil and tied tight (can use rubber bands).

To steam it, bring water to a boil in a pot big enough to hold the two cans. Can also cut the recipe in half and only make one loaf

This bread goes really well with baked beans. When money was tight, our usual Saturday night dinner was hot dogs, baked beans and brown bread.
