2 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
2 egg whites
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter

Directions:
In 2 quart saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil. Cook to hard ball stage (260 degrees) stirring until sugar dissolves. (Hard ball stage is when a drop of melted sugar goes into cool water and stays the drop, around 10-15 minutes).
In large mixing bowl beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
Gradually mix in sugar to egg whites and beat on high speed 3-4 minutes.
Flatten out mixture on a cooked sheet covered with wax paper. Spread peanut butter across and make a roll.
Place in refrigerator to cool 30 minutes.
Cut into slices and store in airtight container.

This is a personal recipe from Adam's Grandmother, Sue. Her teacher taught her how to make this when she was in the second grade. She makes it every Christmas. It is a family favorite!
