½ cup butter
½ sugar
1 egg
1 cup flour
½ whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
¼ cup of dark corn syrup
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in egg. Sift dry ingredients in separate bowl and add to butter mixture. Stir in corn syrup and vanilla. Mix well.
2. Drop by level tsp. 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 7-8 minutes @ 400º until golden brown. Remove to wire rack immediately to cool.
