1 cup & 2 tbsp. of sifted flour
½ tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
½ cup soft butter
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar, firmly packed
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. water
1 egg
½ cup coarsely chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
2. Blend together butter, sugars, vanilla and water in separate bowl. Beat in the egg and add flower mixture and mix well.
3. Stir in nuts and spread in 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top of batter. Bake in preheated 375º oven for one minute. Remove from oven and run a knife through the batter to marbleize. Return to oven and continue to bake for 12-14 minutes. Cool and then cut into 2 inch squares.
