2 large eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. finely crushed saltine crackers
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 teas. salt
1/2 teas. rubbed sage
Dash of pepper
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
4 slices of bacon
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 teas. Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 350º. In a large bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. Add
beef, mix lightly, but thoroughly. Shape into a 8 x 4 loaf and place in an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 baking sheet.

In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients, stirring to dissolve sugar. Hold back 1/2 c. for sauce. Spread remaining mixture over meatloaf. Place uncooked bacon on top of the uncooked meatloaf.

Bake 60-65 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160º. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve with the reserved sauce.
