⅓ cup Crisco
⅓ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1⅔ cups flour
Jam or marmalade of choice for filling

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together Crisco, sugar, salt, vanilla and egg. Beat until creamy.
Add flour and stir until completely blended.
Drop from teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Make a small dent in center of each and fill with jam or marmalade.
Bake in oven for 10 to 12 minutes in 375 degree oven.
