12 ounces Rigatoni pasta
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pound Italian sausage, spicy as wanted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 ( 8oz) can tomato sauce
1 Tbsp. tomato paste
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes ( or more if desired for spicy)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and cook onion until they start to soften. Add sausage,
and break it into pieces with spoon.
2. When sausage is no longer pink, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain off fat.
3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, basil, salt, red pepper flakes and
black pepper and simmer until thickened, about 15 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and place pasta back
into pan.
5. Add cream to sausage mixture and simmer another 5 minutes.
6. Pour sauce over pasta and toss to coat.
7. Serve with pinch of Parmesan cheese on top of pasta.

One could add Rotel instead of diced tomatoes for more spice.
