1 T vinegar
1 C evaporated milk.
½ C butter,
1 ½ C brown sugar.
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla.
2 ½ C flour,
1 tsp soda,
½ tsp baking powder,
½ tsp salt.
⅔ c. chopped nuts
½ c. butter
2 c powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Put 1 T vinegar in 1 C evaporated milk. Set aside.
Beat ½ C butter, add 1 ½ C brown sugar. Beat.
Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat.
Sift together 2 ½ C flour, 1 tsp soda, ½ tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt.
Stir milk and add alternately with dry ingredients to the creamed mixture.
Stir in ⅔ C chopped nuts. Drop by the tablespoon 2 ½” apart.
Bake at 350 F for 10-12 minutes.

Frosting: Melt ½ C butter, stir constantly ‘till butter stops bubbling & is nut brown.
Combine with 2 C powdered sugar (sifted) and 2-4 T boiling water.
