3 eggs
1 cup softened butter
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
4½ cups flour
½ tsp. cream of tarter
2 tsp. baking soda

Holiday colored sugars or cookie frosting to decorate
Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and butter, add sugar and cream together.
Add half of the flour and buttermilk. Beat together.
Add remaining dry ingredients, then remaining milk and vanilla.
Combine ingredients.
Drop on to parchment lined baking sheets by heaping tbsp. (3 inches apart).

Sprinkle with holiday colored sugars and bake in a preheated 325º oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
Or bake plain and frost with cookie icing when completely cooled.
