3 egg yolks
2 1/2 cups flour (sifted 6 times with baking soda)
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla
pinch baking soda
1/2 pound butter (2 1/4 pound square)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar. Add well beaten egg yolks. Add vanilla. Add baking soda and flour mixture (do not touch dough with hands). Put dough into cookie press (or make into roll, put into refrigerator it will keep a week). Cut into slices. You may add nuts into roll if you wish. Color can be added also. Bake until light brown. 10 - 12 minutes in oven at 400 degrees.
