1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 1/2 cup un-sifted flour
5 heaping teaspoons cocoa
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup boiling water
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs and buttermilk, mix. Add flour and cocoa. Mix thoroughly baking soda, salt and vanilla. Add water. Bake 325 degrees until done.
