1C Butter - Can use half butter and half margarine but Butter makes it better
1-1/2C Sifted Powdered Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
2-1/2C Sifted All Purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Cream of Tartar

Preheat Oven to 375 degrees

Cream Sugar and softened Butter. Mix in Egg, Vanilla and Almond flavorings. Blend dry ingredients and gently stir into butter mixture. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Divide in half and roll out 3/16 inch thick and cut out as desired. (I usually roll into balls, then mash flat with glass dipped in sugar to keep from sticking.)Bake on slightly greased cookie sheet for 7-8 minutes or until lightly brown on edges.
