12 cups of apple pulp. Cut and core the apples but you don't need to peel them.
9 cups sugar
1 Tbsp allspice
2 Tbsp cloves
4 Tbsp cinnamon

Mix ingredients thoroughly. Turn on high heat, stirring continuously until it comes to a rolling boil. Turn the heat down, but continue boiling and stirring until thickened when a spoonful is poured on a plate. Pour into hot jars and put on lids.

Personal Notes:
Note from Georgia: Transparent apples work best.

Lori's notes: There are a few recipes in this book claiming to be grandma's recipe but this is the exact one she used. (Ha Ha)

Her recipe doesn't say anything about processing the jars in a water bath. When I've made this I do about 1/3 of the recipe and put it all in my crock pot for 6-8 hours or until the apples are mushy. I use a stick blender to blend it all up and put it in hot jars. They usually seal themselves. (I'm sure Anna Cash would say this isn't safe, but I haven't killed anyone yet) If not, I put them in the fridge or give them to neighbors. I'm not sure what she meant by apple pulp, I just cut and core them and fill up a large crock pot. The spices and sugar can be adjusted to taste even after it's cooked.
