1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups a/p flour
2 eggs
1 lb pecans or walnuts (1 qt), chopped
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp cloves, ground
1 tsp nutmeg, ground
1/2 tsp soda dissolved in a little hot water
1 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar and butter. Cream and add spices. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add the dissolved soda. Sift the flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture. Stir in nuts.
Drop on cookie sheet and bake.

I bake at about 350º. Used chopped nuts. Aunt Liz didn't specify but just made sense.
She said you could add raisins but she didn't. There was no bake time. Just watch and remove when done.
