Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar;
2 egg yolks;
1 tsp. butter;
1 c. sweet milk;
pinch of salt
5 T. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Melt one-third of sugar.
Mix remainder of sugar and flour together.
Add mil and salt and let it boil until it begins to thicken.
Pour melted sugar in while boiling, stirring until sugar is all melted.
Set off fire.

I also have this recipe in my Granny's handwriting on a very old spelling tablet sheet with my dad's name in his handwriting at the bottom where is says, "pupil".

While the directions aren't clear on how to bake this pie... I wanted to include it in this cookbook, just because it was hers!
