Christmas Cookies


Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups margarine or butter or half margarine and butter softened
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
3 3/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add egg yolks, vanilla and almond extract.
Gradually add flour and salt. Mix until we’ll blended.


Divide dough into thirds. Leave one portion white, color one portion red and one portion green.

Roll dough into long log to fit in cookie press. Choose desired shapes. Place log on table knife to insert into cookie press easier. Can make a tricolor shape.

Bake at 400 degrees 5-6 minutes for thin cookies, 8-15 minutes for thick cookies. Cookie bottoms should be light golden in color.
