2 cups boiling water
1 cup oatmeal
2 packages of yeast
1/2 cup lukewarm water
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons melted butter
4-5 cups flour
1 egg yolk

Directions:
Directions:
Pour 2 cups boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand about 1/2 hour. Soak yeast in lukewarm water. Add salt, honey, melted butter to oats then add yeast. Gradually add flour so dough is kneadable. Knead 5-10 minutes until elastic and smooth. Cover with oil and towel and let stand until double. Punch down. Divide into 2 loaves when doubled. Bake at 325 degrees about 50 minutes. Mix a few drops of water into egg yolk to use to coat tops.
