4 cups sifted flour
1 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 1/4 cups milk
1 tsp almond flavoring
2 pkgs yeast
4 tbsp sugar

FILLING:
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts (walnuts or pecans)
3 tbsp heavy whipping cream or 1/2 & 1/2
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp almond flavoring

FROSTING:
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 tbsp melted butter
2 tbsp heavy whipping cream or 1//2 & 1/2
Sprinkle with nuts

Directions:

Dissolve yeast and butter in warm milk. Add beaten egg yolks and flavoring. Pour slowly over flour mixture and mix lightly. Cover well and put in refrigerator overnight. Divide dough into four portions. Roll each portion into a 12 inch circle and cut into 12 pie wedges. Place 3/4 tsp filling on each wedge and roll up. Press ends under so filling doesn’t run out. Let rise until double in volume, approx. 30 minutes to 1 hour before baking. Bake at 350* for 10-15 minutes.
