2-8 in cake layers. (try Betty Crocker Devils Food)
1 c heavy cream
1 5 1/2 oz can chocolate syrup (1/2 c)

Directions:
Buy or bake plain chocolate cake. Split each layer in half making 4 layers in all. Whip the cream until it begins to thicken, using an electric beater. Add the chocolate syrup all at once, and continue to beat until the mixture is smooth, thick, and well blended. Spread between the 4 cake layers, and top with the reminder. Chill for 24 hours.

Betty P's recipe for icing
take 1 c cream, beat. Melt 3/4 c semi sweet chocolate bits, add to cream when cool. Mix and ice. Put into refrigerator for 3- 4 hours.
